Fast and fun Arm Knitting!

So a few days ago I heard about a new style of knitting, ARM knitting!  I thought I had to try it out, even though the sun is sort of shining here now in Scotland there's nearly always a day for wearing a scarf!  So I grabbed some chunky yarn from my local wool shop and had a go!.

I can safely say I only got confused once or twice and this video tutorial is brilliant, very clear and she explains it well.  I bought a 200g Patons curly acrylic wool in shades of grey. It has a slight elastane content so its pretty springy perfect for getting over my noggin! :D It was pretty expensive £9.99 for the ball But I could make maybe 4 scarves (depending on lengths) from it. I unravelled the whole thing so I could double thickness my yarn as well!!
It is super soft fluffy and very warm!  The video I used was on You-tube and as I mentioned I found it very easy to follow! After I got the hang of each stitch I whizzed through my scarf and managed to make it in around 15 minutes or so. Due to the elastane in my wool I didn't need to make mine as long as I first thought. I just did it so it would comfortably wrap round my neck twice and then cast off (which is also shown in the video!). I then followed her advice and used the tail of my scarf to stitch the two ends together, I used a darning needle rather than a crochet hook, but either way would work fine! Next up on my agenda mixing different coloured yarns to make some awesome effects!

Here is the video!!

So Overall my verdict? (TLDR)
Fast quick easy and fun, great for making emergency gifts or for using up yarns would definitely recommend this to anyone with any inclination to knit!  10/10

Silence.

So I realise just how long I have been quiet on here!  And I have decided that I will not only chronicle my own adventures in Crafts but I will start compiling a blog full of suggestions of crafts and activities that everyone could try out!   There are many crafts I would still love to try. But I have fallen in love with sewing and Felt for the moment! I have been making cushions for my son and I have a "to make" list a mile long.  So for now I shall leave you with The current project I am doing which is so super easy. And once I complete mine (its half done) I shall update with my own completed pictures! :D

The one I am working on Is the basic pattern for this albeit slightly different. I shall update soon with my completed bracelet!.
